I am very inspired by this dreamy set of photos from stylist Faye Toogood... (what a great name). Every photo could be the basis for a great room design.

I am not much of a cook, but I might spend more time in the kitchen if I had these pots. Check them out at Polka.

Here are few more Mid-Century homes I love.

This beautiful home is for sale! If you have plans to move to the Hollywood Hills, here is the place for you.

Below is the Ostel Hotel in Berlin. It was built in East Germany during the Communist regime. The lively color palette and patterns, defy what most would think of as Communist living quarters.

Of course, I love a house that keeps it simple. In this house, the strong architecture doesn't need too much decoration.

Another home up for sale. This house is located in Palm Springs, a real hot bed for Mid-century design. I'm picturing The Parker Hotel, with fabulous Jonathan Adler decor.

One last thing. Check out the "Viewers Choice" winner at Domino magazine.

I am very surprised to realize that after several months of writing this blog, I haven't gone on and on about my love of all mid-century things. As a kid, I wore vintage clothes, shoes, jewelry, carried vintage purses, and even vintage hairstyles. (This doesn't seem like a big deal, but in the early 90's, in small town Texas, this was out of the ordinary). Anyway, now that I am an adult, my vintage dreams have moved on to larger things, like houses, and I love this house belonging to Jenny at Freckle Wonder .

Jenny has an online vintage clothing store and a blog that is too cute. Her home is a gorgeous mid-century ranch, that is filled with fun and colorful furnishings. I am especially envious of the closet full of vintage clothes, and color-coded no less!

I am such a visual person, very often random images capture my imagination. I decided to add a new feature on the sidebar, called "Image of the Week". Some images may be from another blog, and some may be from random sources. There will be a link below the image if you care to read more about it. The first image is from Freshly Found's Etsy Store. Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.
I don't have any real commentary for these photos, I just am fascinated with them, and thought I would share. These photos are from a photographer named Angus Mcritchie, (love the name). There are many more wonderful photos on his site, but this was all I cold fit on this post. I would like to have many more photos at a time, but I haven't figured out how to do that. I'll admit I am not the most tech savvy girl in the world. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Meanwhile, enjoy these inspirational photos.
I've had chairs on the brain. Along the way I stumbled upon some fabulous pieces that I love.

I think these accessories would have made the Rat Pack proud.

Here's where it goes wrong. My husband went to pick up the chairs, and some other furniture, in a large trailer. When my husband got home his first words were, "We lost a chair on the highway, it broke-up all over the place." WHAT!!!! I couldn't believe it. I waited so many years to have these chairs! What a tragedy. Well, I tried to deal with it, and thought "I can still use just one chair". So today, I decide to take some pictures of the chair to post. I didn't think I had enough light so I brought my beloved Pablo "Elise" lamp over. As I am walking over to the chair, I accidentally drop the base of the lamp on my porcelain tile. I was horrified! Not many things survive a fall on porcelain tile. Of course, I plugged it in and it will not turn on. This chair must be jinxed! I am hoping that a makeover will make it better. Needless to say, I am feeling quite flustered right now.
