I don't think I need to say too much more about the book, because it certainly doesn't need help from me. 
I recommend linking to Kalman's site to see more of her work and to see a great short movie called The Elements of Style. I also, found a site called TED.com that features a talk by Kalman in which she gives deeper insight into her creative process.
